Consultations and Evaluations

     Dr. Mitchell provides a number of outpatient therapy approaches with eclectic perspectives to meet the needs of a host of needs, specializing in autism across the life span, but also with sub-specialties in ADHD, social skills, vocational coaching/carving, mood disorders, sexuality from diverse perspectives, racial/cultural identity development, and other needs. Modalities include applied behavior analysis (ABA), relationship-based models of autism, convergences of evidence-based models, social mapping, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, group therapy, executive functioning, behavioral aspects of sensory integration, and other evidence-based interventions and best practices. Therapy is always preferred in-person at Dr. Mitchell's comfortable, flexible home office with a variety of sensory-friendly options, but can also be provided remotely via encrypted videoconferencing with screen sharing, or at alternate locations or via other modes of communication at the request of recipients.
